4th grade art classes created “God’s Eyes” for Hispanic Heritage Month. These were displayed in the Middle school commons, Library and hallway from September 15 to November 15.
Our next project, before our 9 week break, concerned a painting with choices of subject, color and scene. All students got their ideas drawn and some have started painting. We will resume in the Spring. The following was given as a handout:
A Favorite Animal in a Scene
We will compose a setting choosing from the list :
PETS
BUGS
FLOWERS
ANIMALS
FISH
BIRDS
1. we will use the library reference books
2.We will make at least 3 thumbnail sketches using pencils
3.Choose one to enlarge to the 8” x 11” format
4. We will make a background
5. we will overlap one element( item) to show depth
6. we will be aware of positive and negative space
7. no white paper showing
